KPI not available to run on at the moment - can this be added?

We are hoping to build a kpi/metric/widget where we track the number of times a custom task is added to a project over X period of time - can we do that?

At the moment you make projects and deals available - but if you could make tasks within projects available for tracking that would do it.

Here is what we're trying to report exactly:

We have a custom we will ask people to add (when there is a change called):

For us - this is a process quantity measure, and we'd like to know data like:

how many 'change orders' did we generate in the last 7 days?

how many change orders do we have per projects over x period?

Is this possible? Can we add it?
